 It’s for your Own Good

 from RipStar -SF, CA

Photo:    Rob and Eva-                                                               another star on the rise.

Even though Dear Indugu came in second place in the music competition for the $10,000 in prizes and promotions from Eastwood Guitars and RipStar, the band was pleased about being fully sponsored onto RipStar’s newest CD compilation, Songs of Love, along with the grand-prize winner Ash Reiter.  Ash led a pack of over a hundred artists served by RipStar in 2008.  According to Rob Jackson, RipStar’s lead

producer, “Ash won for two simple reasons: she made recommendations to see RipStar grow

and her commitment to teaching kids to rock reflected well on her own unique voice in a sound Rob

calls, “Ash on fire.”  Ash and Dear Indugu join the ranks with These Green Eyes, Popikok, Boyskout,

Kali, Music For Animals, Steven Andrew Kacsmar, M.C. Lenehan, Jurgen Wendelen, Young Mars,

Nerve, Naybahud F.O.L.K.S., Angelina Gargano and more.  The compilation features over a dozen

artists and is being released now on Cdbaby.com

The 2009 release is directed largely at film music directors and audiences with an intention of inspiring larger audiences to become fans.  With folk, indie, dance, soul, experimental, classical, hip-hop, and a special guest satirical lounge number by Cara Vida, there is something exciting to discover for everyone.  Rob says this collection of tracks reconnects us to alternative roots.  Check out the free demo at www.myspace.com/theheroinesf

RipStar developed as a mass promotions outlet reaching over four million people on TV and radio airwaves with the support of hundreds of artists, fans, and industry professionals.  Gradually, Rob has gained respect in many music dependent industries.  For example, his Bands To Watch List remains a coveted resource by many DJ’s, music managers, and labels in his international network.  Rob was recently invited to review the updated Musicians Atlas and was really pleased that Eastwood Guitars recognized his live showcase in San Francisco by giving away an Airliner 2 guitar.  Rob said, “Eastwood does a lot for the community and I hope the artists in our network take the time to thank them for their awesome support.  Sony, Guinness, venues and countless radio stations internationally also deserve a salute for their support!”

When asked about his own art, Rob put both hands up, crossed his fingers and then said, “I’m not saying anything about the Sci-Fi flick, but I can say it is the fictional version of my non-fiction book - The Brink – which sits on our website free to the public.  Over 30,000+ readers have gained access to the knowledge he distilled in that text thanks to CharityFocus.org whom sponsors his website.  Rob clarified that his art is set to inspire people to truly appreciate what it means to be successful.  He stated, “the ingredients of success are basically the same no matter the passion or particular profession.  This film reveals the ingredients that help people to see the relationship of making decisions to spend time on this planet in a way that contributes towards the common good; without putting viewers to sleep, or making people feel like they are being force-fed.  Helping people be healthy and providing something that inspires movement in positive directions is what I live for."

RipStar is seeking sponsors, volunteers, and interested stars and stars in the making, to come share their light.  Between the awesome live acts and the living museum installation audiences will get a taste of what is on the rise.

When asked about future events Rob said, "I’m down to direct productions in 2009, but I need some help from all you dancers out there to help us discover and deliver the best new music coming out!  Pick up a single off our latest Album titled Songs of Love to feel the rush of new music coming out from the many deserving artists we are spotting.  Thanks for helping us realize our mission to Unite Thru Music!”

About the Director Of EIA

Rob has a strong track record in public service providing career advisement and other services to diverse populations served by the non-profits, Cities, and State government he has worked for. His recent Masters degree led to controversial papers that defend his appointment as a modern Philosopher with an Ontologist bent. Besides being a trusted informant and friend to those seeking a healthy equilibrium, the skills Rob brings to the table helps to explain EIA’s fast rise- particularly in the music industry.  Blaming his recent successes on, “having good taste and being in touch with market demands,” it is clear that being on the cutting edge is a slippery slop in a turbulent marketplace inflated by ego's and what Rob calls another highly monopolized business circuit that forces many under educated and over trusting artists to become grossly exploited.  Determined and optimistic about numerous ongoing productions and his indie labels growing success, it is clear the bands on his Watch List are doing something right.

2007 Release

Bands That Rock...goes international!

Snap Shot

This album titled Bands that Rock Coast 2 Coast resulted from an effort to locate rock artists to perform songs written by the producer Rob Jackson. In that process the producer discovered a wealth of talent he was confident were currently hot to hit the masses. So hot in fact, he put his own work in progress on hold to pitch them in this cutting edge release. Basically, Rob became hooked on specific songs from the underground that he claims should do well if exposed. Blasting and slamming is a force of habit for many live concert goers entertained by RipStar artists, and Rob is betting many music lovers won't be bailing off our little engine that could anytime soon.

Rob
stated, “the music is the best I found that was not already well known, but deserves to be. When I saw the music moving people not easily moved, I knew we were on to something larger than I imagined. There is something addictive about seeing where potential can lead.” The one theme I think screams from this album is that it breaks into the hearts and minds of the listeners becuase of what is being communicated.

Out of hundreds of applicants applying to RipStar’s Bands That Rock local concert series, the selected artists quickly rose to the top of our music scene in 2006. Craftsmanship and bright personalities undoubtedly explains why people are tuning in and lining up. Be the roar!
